A Child’s Christmas with The Pickford’s Family

Booking and Prices: £7.50 + VAT per pupil. This session allows 25 pupils (minimum) to 35 pupils (maximum).

Session Description: Bring your learners to Pickford’s’ House to go back in time and with a multi-sensory, festive time travelling experience! By contrasting past traditions with present experiences, they will playfully discover what would have been in the Pickford children’s stockings and then explore our beautifully decorated rooms, filling their own ‘stocking’ with handmade traditional Christmas crafts, making good use of their fine motor skills! Before leaving us, we will sit by our huge Christmas tree and sing traditional Christmas songs, helping to spread seasonal cheer!

Session Curricula:

  • History (Identify similarities and differences between ways of life; using stories and artefacts to know where people and places fit into within chronology; significant historical events, people and places in the locality; explore a widening vocabulary relating to the passing of time)
  • Art and Design (to use a range of materials creatively to make products)
  • STEAM Learning
