Derbyshire Makes is an exciting initiative utilising the Makory bus, our mobile makerspace, to engage local communities across Derbyshire in creative, hands-on activities. The programme celebrates the heritage of making and manufacturing in the region while encouraging learning and connection through STEAM-based themes. Each hub will host a weekend of activities designed to inspire participants to explore cultural heritage, local stories, and making practices, culminating in a showcase of Derbyshire’s rich heritage and the Museum of Making.

Hub Locations & Dates -The hub weekends will take place over six weeks in March and April 2025 in the following locations:

• Bolsover 19th & 20th April
• Chesterfield 28th – 30th March
• Cromford 12th & 13th April
• Glossop 15th & 16th April
• Heanor 5th & 6th April
• Swadlincote 26th & 27th April
