In this workshop you’ll learn how woven fabrics are constructed. We’ll work through different creative activities to understand a range of different patterns before jumping on the table loom to weave your own fabric sample.
You’ll have the opportunity to play with different colours and yarn types and we’ll discuss how the combinations of colours, textures and patterns will affect your weaving.
All materials are included in the workshop. You’ll leave with an ‘off-loom’ woven artwork as well as a sample of fabric woven on the table loom. This sample could be framed, used as part of a sewing project, or used however you like!
The table loom will be shared between the participants and set up in advance so that you can focus on the fun of weaving throughout the day.
