Clone your clothes

Museum of Making28 March 2026

Learn how to create your favourite item of clothing in your wardrobe again and again! You will explore how to cut out an existing item of clothing without disassembly, to create a paper pattern to make a copy garment. You will be guided on manufacturing methods depending on your choice of garments, with advice given for any desired alterations to length or fit, to assist them in cutting and sewing after the workshop.

It is recommended to bring a simple item only to recreate (t-shirt, loose top, simple dress) and avoid tailored or lined pieces. Please bring the fabric you want to use to replicate your garment, as there will be a limited stock available.
