Creative Makers is a relaxed and welcoming group for adults over 50 years interested in making and learning new skills.
Collectively they create work together, support each other through friendship and creative ability and always welcome new members.
Sessions are weekly, sometimes self led – so please bring along a current project you are working on, led by group members, led by visiting artists, creative professionals, or linking to Derby Museums current programme of work and activities.

Wednesday 4th June – “Mosaic design celebrating Derby’s Market Hall refurbishment” led by Elaine
Wednesday 11th June – “Indian Block Printing” led by Lu and Chris
Wednesday 18th June – “Embellishing Indian Block printing on textile/Papercraft with Indian Block Printing” led by Lu, Chris and Claire
Wednesday 25th June – “Book Origami Hedgehogs” led by Linda and Claire
Wednesday 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th July – “Exploring Dystopian Themes through different art forms (leading towards an exhibition)” led by Paul Broesmith
This is suitable for adults over 50 years. Places are £5, you can book in advance or pay at our first floor shop at the Museum of Making.
