Creative Makers is a relaxed and welcoming group for adults over 50 years interested in making and learning new skills.
Collectively they create work together, support each other through friendship and creative ability and always welcome new members.
Sessions are weekly, sometimes self led – so please bring along a current project you are working on, led by group members, led by visiting artists, creative professionals, or linking to Derby Museums current programme of work and activities.
Weekly themes:
4th March: Copper Embossing Led by the Museum team.
11th March: Make a fabric brooch with maker Isabel.
18th March: Sewing in a circle with Lu (ongoing monthly event).
25th March: Still Life drawing of flowers using a variety of materials, group led.
1st April: TBC
6th May. Willow Creations with Emma Parkins.
This is suitable for adults over 50 years. Places are £5, Please pay at our first floor shop at the Museum of Making.
