The Makory tour for 2026 celebrates Derbyshire’s innovators – past and present – whose curiosity, creativity, and courage have shaped how we live and make.
The programme will explore the county’s rich history of invention and craftsmanship through a series of artist-led workshops, a pre-produced exhibition, and participatory events across Derbyshire between February and May 2026.
Drawing on themes of Experiment & Enlightenment, Industry & Innovation, and Community & Craft, The Makory connects audiences with the county’s heritage of creative inquiry, industry, and collaboration
Today the Makory is at the Belper Arts Trail.
