Discover the Hidden World: Scanning Electron Microscopy Workshop with Alex Hyde.
Step into the microscopic realm and see the world as you’ve never seen it before! Join us for a hands-on Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) Workshop, open to curious minds of all ages, adults and children all welcome.
Bring your own samples (samples must be dry and no larger than 1cm) and prepare to explore their stunning details at magnifications thousands of times greater than a regular light microscope. From the intricate structures of pollen grains to the mesmerising patterns of insect eyes, SEM reveals the breath-taking beauty of nature at a scale that will blow your mind.
No experience needed – just bring your curiosity and something small to examine!
Spaces are limited — booking essential, children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
