Key Stage 1 Sessions

Mark-Making and Monoprint

Location: MUSEUM OF MAKING 

Duration: 2 hours

Key Stage: Key Stage 1 

Booking and Prices: £6.50 + VAT per pupil. This session allows 25 pupils (minimum) to 35 pupils (maximum).

Session Description: Find your inner artist at the Museum of Making! Learners will explore mark making and have fun playing and experimenting with the process of Mono printing, whilst learning about Derby and Derbyshire’s fantastic artist and maker heritage along the way. Every child will go home with a collection of beautiful prints inspired by our Museum’s unique collections.

Session Curricula:

  • Art and Design (create sketchbooks to record their observations and use them to review and revisit ideas, improve their mastery of drawing and printing; develop their techniques of observation; use materials with creativity and experimentation)
  • History (understand how our knowledge of the past is constructed from a range of sources)
  • STEAM Learning
