For teachers/educators we offer interactive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions where educators partake in discussions, demonstrations and tours based on Programmes and exhibitions at the three museums sites, featuring speakers from the museums and partners. CPD events are FREE to attend and take place in the Museums sites.

Our next event is Educators Open Evening with Derby Museums. Derby Museums, in partnership with The Bemrose School Primary Phase’s History Lead, Tom Corrigan will bring you a valuable opportunity to enhance your ancient Egyptian Civilisation teaching at Key Stage 2.

With an exclusive tour of our exhibition Displaced: From the Nile to the Derwent, you will learn recent research about our Egyptology collection, including our two mummified human remains, and be able to have time to update your school’s curriculum, exploring how Derby, Derbyshire and Egypt are linked over time.
