Session Description: How is your local history knowledge? Develop your knowledge of the rich history of Derby- from before the Stone Age began right through to its current industrial heritage- by using the artefacts in the Museums’ collections.

In this informative session we’ll share the hidden stories behind some of the objects that helped shape Derby’s past. Delivered by a member of The Museum Learning Team (and former teacher) the session also allows time to discuss how we use the collection objects in our museum sessions and how these stories and artefacts might enrich your primary history curriculum and make it local. Ideal for ECTs, teachers from out of area or anyone wishing to brush up on their local history.
