Lifelong Learning is integral to Derby Museums. There are plenty of opportunities to pursue interests and develop new skills inspired by our collections to keep curious minds occupied!

With everything from talks, tours and walks, to making workshops, performances, and creative classes, our events and activities are a great opportunity to meet different people and learn something new, all amongst a beautiful collection of international significance.

We strive, where possible, to schedule talks and tours on Wednesday afternoons when many Colleges and Universities keep timetables free so students in full time education can still enjoy our events. We also regularly offer student discounts for our charged events.

If you are aged 15 to 25 you can get involved with our volunteering opportunities – from helping us develop ideas for our programme to helping to curate our collections, you’re sure to find something that excites your curiosity! Take a look at our here to see how you can get involved.
