Craft&Making Saturday Club

Derby Museums Invite’s Young People to Join our 20205-2026 Craft & Making Club!

If you are between the ages of 13-16 and you enjoy craft and making, you can join our free, Saturday Club here at the Museum of Making!

The Craft & Making club will be based at the Museum of Making, with access to the Studios and Workshop facilities. Sessions will be delivered by talented local Makers, the staff at Derby Museums and will be supported by current creative students studying in Derby, who will all inspire our next generation of makers in a safe and welcoming space.

Club members will develop creative, technical, and practical skills aligned with Craft practice and careers. They will be introduced to materials and processes linked to Derby’s extensive Industrial and Creative Heritage. The club will also explore transferable skills developing agency, resilience, critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and social and cultural literacy – with a focus on traditional and innovative applications of materials the group will make objects that matter to young people and to society.

For more information please contact Kathryn2@derbymuseums.org.

Upcoming club dates: Saturday 8th November 2025 – 21st March 2026 (dates subject to change).

Please register your interest for 2025-26 here. Find our page on the Saturday Art Club site here.
