1920s Model Steam Engine Made From Scrap Brass

Object details:

One morning in the 1920’s, Mr Thomas John Davis, a former Chief Inspector of the heating apparatus on the trains of the Midland Railway Company, woke up and decided to build himself a little model steam engine. We do not know if he made this for someone or just to show off (or what he had for breakfast) but what we do know is that since he had knowledge of metalworking and steam (this being the age of the steam radiator which is not as famous as the steam engine but still very useful especially when you’re cold) he was able to create this adorable little working model of a steam engine using only scrap metal; or at least that’s what he told work.
