Derby Museums’ Museum of Making is going from strength to strength. On the site of the world’s first modern factory, this unique public space has been designed to inspire visitors to experiment with new crafts and creativity, stimulated by the collections that showcase Derby’s 300 year history of making and innovation. Designed and made by the people and industries of Derby, the Museum of Making is truly unique, a must-visit destination for those in the East Midlands and beyond.
To make this experience even more exceptional, we are looking for an experienced Workshop and Studio Technician to assist the Workshop and Studio Manager in running the workshop and studio making spaces and offering a wide range of making activities for all ages.

Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: S5 SCP £24,308 – £26,661
Contract Type: 2 year fixed term contract

Employee Benefits: 20 days + bank holidays (pro rata). Flexible working, pension, mileage allowance payable on authorised business travel.
