Creative Makers is a relaxed and welcoming group for adults over 50 years interested in making and learning new skills.
Collectively they create work together, support each other through friendship and creative ability and always welcome new members.
Sessions are weekly, sometimes self led – so please bring along a current project you are working on, led by group members, led by visiting artists, creative professionals, or linking to Derby Museums current programme of work and activities.
Weekly themes:
April 22nd : Circle Embroidery with Lu
April 29th: Sketching Grid Portraits using a photograph the attendee wishes to bring along. These should be enlarged to A4 and printed in black and white where possible. Group led.
May 6th: Willow Weaving with Emma Parkins
May 13th: Creative Air Arts session – to be confirmed
May 20th Creative Air Arts session – to be confirmed
May 27th Circle Embroidery with Lu
June 3rd Needle felting with students from Derby College
June 10th
June 17th
June 24th & July 1st – introduction to Stained Glass – FULLY BOOKED.
This is suitable for adults over 50 years. Places are £5, Please pay at our first floor shop at the Museum of Making.
