Creative Makers is a relaxed and welcoming group for adults over 50 years interested in making and learning new skills.
Collectively they create work together, support each other through friendship and creative ability and always welcome new members.
Sessions are weekly, sometimes self led – so please bring along a current project you are working on, led by group members, led by visiting artists, creative professionals, or linking to Derby Museums current programme of work and activities.
Weekly themes:
1st April: Introduction to portraits, inspired by our Joseph Wright of Derby: Life on Paper exhibition. Please note this activity will take place at the Museum and Art Gallery with artist Alice Kell
6th May:Willow Creations with artist Emma Parkins
24th June & 1st July: An introduction to Stained Glass with the Museum of Making workshop team. Spaces limited to 10 per session and ideally participants will attend both sessions
This is suitable for adults over 50 years. Places are £5, Please pay at our first floor shop at the Museum of Making.
