Learn the skills to make hand spun yarn on a spindle!
About this session:
Discover the history of spinning and learn how to use spindles to make hand spun yarn.
Each participant will use a mixture of British and International sheep wools and silk to spin their very own yarn just as people did throughout time.
You will leave this session with a small skein of hand spun yarn and the skills (and supplies) to make many more metres of yarn.
It is essential those with wool and lanolin allergies declare their allergy so suitable alternative fibres can be supplied for them.
Do I need to bring anything?
All materials, tools and equipment will be provided.
