Discover your style signature with sustainable fashion influencer Helena…
“This season’s newest trend”, “Must have tops for summer”, “Polka dots are in. Cheetah Print is out”. Social media feeds, tv ads and magazines are constantly bombarding us with the next microtrend and we’re always being told what’s the next ‘it’ item to buy.
If you want to break out of this cycle and find a style that makes you feel confident, saves your wallet and helps the planet, this workshop is for you! You will learn how to choose and adapt clothing, create a style, and build confidence from the outside – so you can feel like YOU!
Helena, a fashion influencer with a passion for curating a whimsical wardrobe, aims to inspire her audience to find their own style by shopping vintage, second-hand, with sustainable clothing brands and by learning to sew, adapt and mend. All materials are provided. Feel free to bring garments you have questions about.
You can follow Helena on her Instagram, Facebook, and/or tiktok @ditsy_floral. Instagram. TikTok.

This workshop is inspired by World 170, contributed by Jo Collier, in which second-hand clothes become your style signatures. There is a culture that values longevity, both in terms of garments and in terms of life-span, creative exchanges and this both produces and supports communities. fashionfictions.org/the-worlds/
Fashion Fictions is about exploring the possibilities of more sustainable worlds; whilst developing your style, you can immerse yourself in World 170 and think about how this could be made a reality.
This event is part of the Field to Fashion project funded by Art Fund and Rolls-Royce, as part of our STEAM Learning programme.
