To become a Maker, and use the Workshop & Studios, sign up and book a General Workshop & Studios Induction
General Workshop & Studios Inductions:

- A General Induction is a tour around the Workshop & Studios, an introduction to our equipment, a talk about Health & Safety procedures, and an opportunity to talk through your ideas with the Workshop Technicians.
- The General Induction unlocks your access to book time with equipment as a Maker.
- There is no expectation to understand every piece of equipment.

Maker usage costs are ‘Pay as you go’
- Makers pay per hour for equipment/ machine/ space used.
- Upon booking, you will receive a predicted cost for your session. We understand this may change. Sometimes, Makers either need a little more time or a project is finished quicker than expected. We are always happy to be flexible to accomodate.
- Makers will receive a separate induction per piece of equipment when required
- For Machine Inductions book a ‘Supported hour’

Workshop Maker Opening Times:
Tuesday to Friday | 10am – 1pm | 1:30pm – 4:30pm
Second Saturday of every month | 10am – 1pm | 1:30pm – 4:30pm
Studio Maker Opening Times:
Friday | 10am – 1pm
– Please note, these opening times are for Makers only. For regular Museum opening times, see the Visit page.
– The Workshop and Studios are located within the Museum of Making and have several purposes. They are used for our public learning programme as well as our schools programme
