Please note that unfortunately our purchase and renewal system for memberships is not automated. Therefore whilst you will receive an immediate confirmation from Shopify (if purchasing through the online shop) or Gocardless (if setting up a direct debit). It may take up to two weeks to receive confirmation from our fundraising team. If you need the membership sooner please email info@derbymuseums.org and we will try our very best to accommodate the request.

FAQs

How do I renew my membership?

The best way to renew your membership is by Direct Debit. Click on a square above for the membership you’d like and follow the link to set up your Direct Debit. Choosing Direct Debit is an extra show of support! It streamlines the renewal process, saving us time and money. Alternatively, you’ll get a reminder when your membership is due for renewal. You can renew via: The online shop (select your membership from the dropdown). In person at the Museum and Art Gallery, The Strand, Derby, DE1 1BS. Cheque to Derby Museums, The Strand, Derby, DE 1BS.

What if I lose my membership card?

Contact Helena Smith Parucker at Helena@derbymuseums.org to request a replacement. In the meantime, you can show your membership confirmation email to still access your 10% off in the cafes and shops.

Are all events discounted to Friends?

Your membership gets you at least 6 discounted or free ‘Friends Talks’ per year. As well as some exclusive Friends socials.

How do I get a printed version of the Orrery Newsletter?

If setting up a Direct Debit, click the square for your chosen membership and follow the link including ‘Printed Orrery’. If buying through our online shop, select ‘3x Hardcopy Orrery Newsletter for Friends’ from the dropdown menu. Add it to your basket along with your chosen membership type. It costs an additional £6 to receive printed versions of the Orrery Newsletter with your membership. This covers the cost of printing and postage.

How often is the Orrery Newsletter published?

Three times a year.
